Beaches, Sightseeing, Nightlife and More

Whether you're looking for a night out on the town, a relaxing stroll along one of the beaches, ambling through a small village, an evening in a small restaurant or camel riding, you'll find it in Tenerife.

Shopping

For many, holidays mean lots of shopping, and Tenerife certainly has plenty of places to shop.  For your groceries, perfumes, cheap electronics, and cigarettes you might like to try Las Galletas itself.

If you wish to go further afield, there are larger stores, with plenty of opportunities to spend your cash in Los Cristianos and Las Americas just a short 10 - 15 minute ride away.

For something a little more unique, why not try the pearl market?  Tenerife's Palace of Pearls at Armenime, south west Tenerife apparently holds a daily pearl market which is free to enter and browse.

A Night on The Town?

Want to party all night?  Then it seems Playa de Las Americas is the place for you, at least that is the most famous area in Tenerife for its nightlife.  Veronicas is perhaps the most famous area of Las Americas for its nightlife, but the Patch and Starco are also pretty big party spots.  Los Cristianos is also pretty well known for its nightlife, and is slightly closer than Americas, both places are around a 10 - 15 minute taxi drive from Camping Nauta.

If you'd prefer something a little quieter, then maybe the small bars and restaurants of Las Galletas will suit you?  Or you could spend an evening at the bar on site if you don't want to travel too far away, and would prefer a shorter distance for stumbling back to the home at night?

don't forget your towel

Of course, we're referring to the beaches.  The closest beach to the site is at Las Galletas, only a  5 minute drive away, and is made of black sand.  Apparently, this beach is good for people just learning to surf.

Los Cristianos has a white-grey sandy beach for those who prefer it to the black sand and pebble beaches that you find in Tenerife, and you could also try your hand at watersports if you fancy a go.

Something for the children

The Octopus water park is located in Playa de Las Americas, there is another close by in Adeje where you can see the daily dolphin shows, and to cool you off there are the water slides, swimming pools and more the perfect place for all the family.  Both parks are open all year round, and should keep both the children and the adults entertained, also loro park,  it claims the world's largest penguinarium and europe's biggest dolphinarium, you will also see chimpanzees gorillars and much more well worth a visit.

Why not try a camel ride, and play a role in your very own adventure?  You should be able to try and mount a camel at the camel park on the road between Los Cristianos and Chayofa, good luck!

There are so many more attractions on the island to think about, such as golfing, the highest village in Tenerife, Vilaflor, bowling on the Costa Del Silencio and Hang Gliding in Playa de Las Americas.

These Boots Were Made For Walking

Tenerife is a great place to explore on foot.  Not everyone however may want to climb Mount Teide (The highest mountain in Spain) but you can take some fantastic photos, and explore the national park a little.

There are walking excursions available when in Tenerife, and maps are available at tourist information offices.
